The EU Global Facility is expanding further to Latin America !
At the end of last month, our Senior Expert on Justice Victoria Palau Tárrega took part in the GAFILAT plenary and Working Groups meetings which took place in Quito (Ecuador ????????).
Topics that were discussed in the meetings included Beneficial Ownership , cryptocurrency , art trafficking, illegal mining, assets recovery, Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Recommendation 8 as well as risk assessment on tax crime and legal entities, among others.
Bilateral meetings were held with the EU Global Facility partner countries Panama ???????? and Argentina ????????. In addition, Ecuador, Paraguay ???????? and Uruguay ???????? expressed their interest in receiving TA from the EU GF project.
